High Court of Gujarat invites Online Applications from eligible candidates for filling up a total of 63 vacant posts of Deputy Section Officer, on the establishment of the High Court of Gujarat, by way of Direct Recruitment.

Mode of Recruitment:
The selection procedure will comprise Elimination Test (Objective Type MCQs) and Main Written Examination. The elimination test will consist of a single question paper with 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each of 1 Mark. There will be a negative marking of each wrong answer of 0.33 marks. Based on Elimination Test marks, candidates will be shortlisted for the main written test. The Main Written Examination will comprise of Two Parts i.e PartA General English of 50 Marks and PartB General Knowledge (50 Marks). The Final Select List & Wait List will be prepared on the basis of Aggregate Marks obtained by the Candidates in the Main Written Examination.
Fee Structure:
Application fees of Rs 350/- for SC/ST/EWS/PH/ Ex-Servicemen candidates and Rs 700/- for other candidates need to pay either Online Payment or Cash-Challan (Offline).

Mode of Recruitment:
The Competitive Examination will consist of : (A) Elimination Test (Objective Type – MCQs) (100 Marks), (B) Translation Test (100 Marks), and (C) Viva-voce Test (50 Marks). Question Paper of Elimination Test will consist of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) each of 1 Mark. The language of the Question Paper will be English only (except the questions in the Gujarati Language). The duration of the Elimination Test will be 02 Hours (120 Minutes). ST/SEBC Candidates will have to secure a minimum of 45 Marks and all other Candidates will have to secure a minimum of 50 Marks in Elimination Test for being called for Translation Test.
Translation Test of 100 Marks, comprising Translation from Gujarati to English and English to Gujarati language and also Synonyms, Antonyms and Idioms will be conducted for a duration of 02:30 Hours. Candidates will have to secure a minimum of 40 Marks in Translation Test for being called for the next stage i.e. Viva-voce Test. The final merit list will be made on the basis of Translation tests and Viva-voce Test marks.
