✍ अंतर्राष्ट्रीय श्रम संगठन की स्थापना : वर्ष 1919.
🗽 प्रारम्भिक इतिहास :
वर्ष 1891 में पहली बार 1 मई को औपचारिक रूप से प्रत्येक वर्ष अंतर्राष्ट्रीय श्रम दिवस के रूप में मनाए जाने की घोषणा की गई थी।
✍ कारण :
1 मई,1886 को पहली बार संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका में श्रमिकों ने काम की अवधि को अधिकतम 8 घंटे प्रति दिन निर्धारित करने के लिए हड़ताल शुरू की थी। जिसके चलते 4 मई को शिकागो के हैमार्केट स्क्वायर में एक हिंसक वारदात में कई लोगों की मौत हुई तथा बहुत से लोग गंभीर रूप से घायल हुए।
उन्हीं लोगों की स्मृति में समाजवादी अखिल राष्ट्रीय संगठन ने 1 मई को अंतर्राष्ट्रीय श्रमिक दिवस मनाने और विश्व में श्रम कल्याण को बढ़ावा देने की शुरूआत की थी।
💌 भारत में शुरुआत :
भारत में पहला श्रम दिवस या मई दिवस 1 मई,1923 को लेबर किसान पार्टी ऑफ हिंदुस्तान द्वारा मद्रास में मनाया गया था।
